Northlanders Sample Pages

It took me forever to actually be able to start with these pages. It was just travels, after movings, after CONs, after moving again! anyway here is the almost last sequence of a Northlanders sample script I was working on. It was a lot of fun and, as I was ask to do final inks, the pencils are fairly loose. I keep reading in other artists blogs about how, if they're the ones that are gonna ink the final page, the try to spend as little time as possible on the pencils. It's fun because most of your desitions you end up making are in the inking stage, which may sound scary, but that's the fun part about inking. In this case the improv came with the water. I was looking for a new way to render it and thats what came out. I'm 50/50 on the result but I'm okay with that.

Anyway, I hope you like it!

Trigger and The Bullet Grand Finale

This is the final page for the Trigger and The Bullet short story. I'm thinking of having a few of these stories of mine put together in a single book. I have to finish inking and lettering most of them but I think it's a good idea to get them out there for people to actually read.

Soon I'll post the sketches for the costume designs for this story.

North-characters

Here are some character design I've been working on for some sample pages I'm trying to get done. I flew back home for the break and found my family in the middle of moving to a new place, this means I have no place to work and most of my time is being used to move boxes and fight with workers to get furniture finish on time. AWESOME!

Hunstman process

Here are some process pics of the Huntsman cover. For the most part it was all traditional inking, but at the end I twitched the illustration a little bit on the computer and added the halftone pattern and the tittle.

Inking like a Barbarian!

For the last couple of weeks I have been doing a series of Conan-the-Barbarian-type of illustrations for my inking class. The last one was supposed to be a cover illustration and, because I just started watching Game of Thrones, it may have had been influenced by the White Walker’s concept.

Welcome to the Blog! Here I will keep you, my faithful followers (Okay, mostly my family... and not even that many of them), updated about the comings and goings of a Venezuelan comic artist lost in this big bad sequential world. I hope you enjoy it!

Oh, and it will be weekly!... hopefully....
